Divided States - Overview
About : Divided States
"An intimate and human story ... filled with plenty of energy and intrigue." — BookTrib
When former detective Lori Young is kidnapped in the aftermath of a mass shooting, she becomes the key to stopping a devastating terrorist plot against what used to be called the United States — but she must confront her own past to ensure the future.
A group of former CIA officers wants Lori to leverage her ex-husband and his team of former Tier One military operators into hijacking a nuclear weapon, which will be used to destroy the flow of the continent's most valuable resource and ruin global markets.
But the terrorists have a traitor in their midst, and together he and Lori can help avoid a nuclear strike — if she learns to weaponize her unusual skillset instead of constantly trying to silence the memories she can't forget.
"From the opening scene to the final page, this story was a fast-paced, action-packed ride that did not let up." — Daniel K. Miller, Texas Institute of Letters Literary Awards Finalist and author of Fire on the Firth
